About the Homesteaders

We are urban homesteaders who enjoy exploring the benefits of sustainable living. We live smack dab in the middle suburbia in a land that the locals refer to as Lynnhood (aka Lynnwood WA). Our quarter acre plot has nearly 1600 square feet of garden space and is home to the Taj Mahal of chicken coops. Despite our efforts to contain them, our 13 chickens prefer to roam the entire neighborhood. It's a funny sight for anyone passing through.

We dream of owning a real farm someday. So, our current efforts are a little like an internship in preparation for the future that we hope for.   When we're not farming, we keep busy with other work that we also enjoy.

Michael has a Navy background as a nuclear mechanic. He works for a company called NAES, doing a stellar job to ensure that power plants have what they need to operate better. Michael also enjoys selling wine as a "personal wine buyer" for several word of mouth clients.  You can always ask him to source your favorite wines.

Trisa is a Special Education Consultant and co-owner of Frameworks CTR, an awesome company that provides training, consulting, and retreats for parents and professionals who work with children with special needs.
